Using The Fueling Tool

  • How do I access The Fueling Tool app?

    To access The Fueling Tool app (powered by Insight CoachPro), first login to your account on insightcoachpro.com. Then use the link on the My Account page or in the Nav Bar to launch the app. For subsequent visits, you can head straight to the app at app.fuelingtool.com.

  • What targets should I use for my Fueling Plan?

    To learn about carbohydrate, fluid, and sodium targets, use the “i” icon in the Targets or Fueling Plan views, or review this help article .

  • How do I use The Fueling Tool for just cycling or just running?

    To update your sport profile, click the “user” icon on the far right of the shortcuts in the upper, light blue Hero section. Use the dropdown to select your sport.

The Fueling Tool: Coach Edition

  • How do I add an athlete?

    To add an athlete, click “+ Athlete” next to the Athlete dropdown at the top of The Fueling Tool app window.

  • Why can’t I enter my athlete’s full name?

    If you entered your athlete’s full first and last name, you’d be sharing their Personally Identifiable Information to a third party without their consent. To protect both you and The Fueling Tool, we only allow you to enter the first letter of the athlete’s last name.

  • How do I share a Fueling Plan with an athlete?

    After creating a Fueling Plan, use the print icon to create a printable view of the plan that you can share with your athlete.

  • How do I switch athletes?

    To switch athletes, select an athlete name from the Athlete dropdown at the top of The Fueling Tool app window.

  • How do I make an athlete inactive?

    To make an athlete inactive, so that they no longer are listed in the Athlete dropdown, click “Roster” in the Nav Bar, which is located in the upper right of The Fueling Tool app window. Click the athlete’s name in the Active Athletes list to see their profile information in the upper, light blue Hero section of The Fueling Tool app window. Use the dropdown and select “Inactive” to make the athlete inactive and remove them from the Athlete dropdown list.

  • How do I reactivate an inactive athlete?

    To reactive an inactive athlete, click “Roster” in the Nav Bar, which is located in the upper right of The Fueling Tool app window. Click the athlete’s name in the Inactive Athletes list to see their profile information in the upper, light blue Hero section of The Fueling Tool app window. Use the dropdown and select “Active” to make the athlete active and add them to the Athlete dropdown list.

Managing My Subscription

  • How do I update my payment method?

    To update your payment method, go to My Account -> Subscriptions, click “Update” and enter the new payment information.

  • How do I change from Free to Athlete Edition, or vice versa?

    To upgrade or downgrade your subscription level, go to My Account -> Subscriptions and click “Change Plan.” Select the new plan on the pricing page – your next payment will be pro-rated based on the number of days left in your current billing period.

  • How do I switch from a monthly to an annual subscription, or vice versa?

    To switch your payment frequency, go to My Account -> Subscriptions and click “Change Plan.” Select the new plan on the pricing page – your next payment will be pro-rated based on the number of days left in your current billing period.

  • How do I pause my paid subscription?

    To pause your paid subscription, go to My Account -> Subscriptions, and click “Pause.”

  • How do I resume a paused subscription?

    To resume your paused subscription, go to My Account -> Subscriptions, and click “Resume.”

  • How do I cancel my paid subscription?

    To cancel your Athlete Edition or Coach Edition subscription, go to My Account -> Subscriptions, and click “Cancel.”

  • What happens if I cancel my Athlete Edition subscription?

    If you cancel a paid Athlete Edition subscription, your account transitions to the Free Edition membership. Your saved fueling plans, custom sources, and individualized targets will no longer be accessible, but will be saved should you decide to return to the Athlete Edition membership.

  • How do I restart a canceled subscription?

    To restart a canceled Athlete Edition or Coach Edition subscription, go to My Account -> Subscriptions, and click “Renew.” (If your previous plan is no longer available, click “Subscribe.”)
